Software your business can depend on

Branch builds booking systems, membership platforms and internal tools for organisations without a development team of their own, leading every project at senior level from the first conversation to long after launch and building for the moments when customers, revenue and compliance are riding on it.

What we build

The systems businesses run on

Most organisations reach a point where the tools that carried them this far begin to hold them back, whether that's a process that's outgrown its spreadsheet, an off the shelf system that dictates how the team works, or something important resting on one person remembering to do it. That's the point where people call us, and it's where we do our best work.

Booking and ticketing systems

From timed entry and capacity through to memberships and annual passes, we build the commercial features that off the shelf platforms won't stretch to.

Membership platforms

Accounts, renewals and member areas built on reporting that turns a returning visitor into a relationship rather than anonymous traffic.

Registration and event tools

Registration, QR check in and capture on the day, with reporting that turns every event into something you can learn from.

Internal tools and dashboards

We replace the spreadsheet everybody's frightened of with a system that brings scattered information into one place the whole team can trust.

Integrations

We connect the systems you already pay for, so information moves between them without anyone rekeying it.

Fully bespoke WordPress

Custom themes and plugins built from scratch, with API integrations that make WordPress work the way your business does.

Recent work

Built for organisations like yours

Anderson Education

Anderson Education runs exhibitions where families meet schools face to face. The old process leaned on an ageing third party system and a good deal of paper, and nobody could say afterwards which families had spoken to which schools.

We built a platform that runs the whole event, where each exhibition generates its own registration form, families arrive with a QR code that exhibiting schools scan on the stand to bring up their details instantly, and Anderson watches the scan data move across the event as it happens.

Outcome: a faster experience at the stand, and a clear record of who spoke to whom for the first time.

Eureka! The National Children's Museum

Eureka! runs venues in Halifax and on the Wirral, where ticketing ran through a third party platform that proved unreliable — and for a visitor attraction, a failing booking system isn't an IT problem so much as families arriving at the door.

Branch has looked after the websites for over two years and kept the booking operation running throughout, while building the commercial features the museum wanted and the platform couldn't offer — Pay It Forward, which lets returning members buy tickets for another family to visit free of charge, and Eureka! Unlimited, one annual pass covering both venues.

Outcome: when the museum moved to a new booking provider, we helped run the tender and are now handling the data migration.

Stay in a Pub

Stay in a Pub helps people find and book pubs with rooms. We have been its development partner for two and a half years, working continuously on the platform rather than delivering a project and leaving.

“Since working with Branch, traffic to our website has increased by 56% and paid bookings have increased by 15%, with the average value up 12%.”
Sophie Braybrooke, CEO, Stay in a Pub

Counselling Tutor

“Branch transformed our complex legacy website, which contained thousands of articles, into a platform that does exactly what we need. Liam and his team guided us through the structure, layout and content organisation, and the new website has significantly improved engagement with our content. They are responsive, thorough and extremely quick to act. I couldn’t recommend Liam and Branch Agency highly enough. They are phenomenal.”

How we work

Senior led, start to finish

  1. Understand the problem properly

Before anything is designed or built, we work through how the business actually operates, where the friction sits and what the people using the system need from it — which is why the brief often changes at this stage, and almost always for the better.

  2. Build it in phases

Development happens in stages you can see and use, so the shape of the thing is confirmed early rather than revealed at the end. Reliability, security and accessibility are designed in from the start, because retrofitting any of the three is expensive.

  3. Keep it moving

Software that matters is never really finished, which is why most clients stay with us once the first build ships and why the next phase starts as a conversation rather than a fresh negotiation.

Why Branch

Senior people, on your project

The people who scope your system are the people who build it, which means the thinking that shaped your brief is still in the room when the decisions get made.

Every project is led by seventeen years of experience in business critical software, earned building for organisations including Pernod Ricard, the University of Cambridge, Nintendo and the NHS, and sharpened by running products of our own in production every day. Having lived with the consequences of software decisions ourselves, we ask the questions that stop them becoming yours.

Yours to own, ours to look after

Every system is documented as it's built, the code and repositories belong to you, and monitoring runs around the clock without anyone needing to remember to check. When a project calls for extra capacity or a specialist skill, we bring in people we have trusted for years, so the work keeps its senior standard from the first conversation to the last deployment.

The result is a system your business owns outright, looked after by the people who understand it best.

Accessible by default

Accessibility is a requirement in everything we build rather than a service we sell separately. We work to WCAG 2.1 AA as standard, and we're working towards IAAP certification because software that excludes people is simply software that doesn't work properly.

Someone responsible for it, month after month

Most problems with a system accumulate quietly rather than announcing themselves, from the form that stopped sending to the list of improvements everyone agrees on and nobody schedules.

Every system we build is looked after once it's live, on a monthly plan that ranges from keeping a site safe, current and watched over through to a day a week of ongoing development, with updates, monitoring, accessibility and a guaranteed response time as standard on all of them.

Tell us what's not working

Most projects start with a conversation about a process that is creaking, a system fighting the business, or an idea parked because nobody could see how to build it — a conversation that costs nothing and is useful whichever way it goes.
